The short version: there is no token, the prices on this site can be wrong, the break-even is arithmetic over prices that can be wrong, and a card handled on your behalf is handled by a grader and a vault on their terms, not ours.

Not financial advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything, or a recommendation of any asset. Nobody here knows your circumstances. Speak to someone qualified before spending money you would miss.
02

There is no token

Re:TCG does not have, sell, promote, settle in or refer to any cryptocurrency. A token once carried this project's name; it is not connected to anything the site does now, nothing here is a way to acquire it, and nothing here is a reason to. Anyone offering you one in this project's name is not this project.
03

Prices here can be wrong

Pricing comes from public third-party sources. It can be delayed, incomplete, mismatched to the wrong printing, or simply wrong, and it describes listed or past sales rather than what anyone will pay you today. It is not an appraisal and not a valuation. Check a source you trust before pricing a real transaction, and never show a number from this site to a buyer or an insurer as though it were an assessment.
04

The break-even is arithmetic, not a verdict on your card

The site compares what graded copies of a card sell for with what raw copies sell for, and sets the difference against a grading fee — about $25 when most slabs were made, about $80 today, or whatever you tell it you paid. That is a sum over reference prices that can be wrong, on a sample that can be thin, and it says nothing about the condition, centering or eye appeal of the specific card you are holding. It cannot predict a grade and does not try to.
05

Re:TCG is not a grading company or a vault

This project grades nothing, authenticates nothing, and custodies nothing long term. Grading, where it happens, is carried out by independent third-party companies paid as an ordinary customer. Vaulting and tokenization are carried out by Courtyard and Collector Crypt under their own terms, and a card handled on your behalf is subject to those terms — including their fees, their intake decisions, their redemption process and their insurance, none of which this project controls. A grader may find a card altered or counterfeit, may decline to encapsulate it, and sets its own turnaround; a vault may decline a card. No grade, outcome or timescale is ever promised.
06

Cross-chain figures are two different kinds of fact

On the spread page a Polygon figure is a price somebody paid and a Solana figure is a price somebody is asking. They are labelled that way because they are not comparable as like for like, and the gap between them is not an arbitrage: moving a card between chains costs redemption, insured postage and re-vaulting, with fees that the vaults do not publish. Nothing on that page is a recommendation to buy or move anything.
07

A pack break is a purchase, not a prize

Buying a slot buys one specific sealed pack for $5, opened on camera, with everything in it yours. Slots are allocated in purchase order and never drawn. No odds, expected value or hit rate are stated or implied, and buying more slots changes nothing about what any pack contains. Modern packs contain cards worth from a few cents to, occasionally, more; the ordinary result is a pile of commons, and that is what you should expect.
08

The data service is metered and may go dark

Sold-comps lookups run on a paid, metered API. The subscribed tier is 2000 requests a month — a ceiling, not an unlimited plan. When the quota is exhausted, new lookups stop until it resets or more is bought. Availability is not guaranteed and no service level is offered.
09

No affiliation with anybody

Re:TCG is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or connected to any trading card game publisher, manufacturer, distributor, retailer, card grading company, vault, or online marketplace. It holds ordinary customer accounts at the vaults it uses and nothing more. All trademarks and copyrights belong to their owners, who have no involvement in this and have not approved it.
10

Statements about the future

Anything here describing what the project intends to do is a present intention, not a commitment. Plans change and projects stall. Do not treat a plan as an obligation.
11

Your jurisdiction is your problem

Tokenized assets are regulated differently everywhere and restricted in some places. You are responsible for knowing whether taking part is lawful where you live, and for any tax that results.
